Haunted York

A JOURNAL DEVOTED TO THE HISTORY, STUDY AND OCCURRENCES OF GHOSTS IN YORK

POLTERGEIST ACTIVITY AT ONE OF YORK’S MOST HAUNTED PUBS

Local online publication York Mix can be commended for never being shy to write up a ghost story and if you missed their coverage of the Golden Fleece’s closure in September (not, I hasten to point out, as a result of spectral disturbance, but rather the need to prevent the building falling down) there is a handy link to the story below.

Apparently Grace, the undaunted landlady who by now is quite used to sharing her tavern with a variety of phantoms, experienced some inexplicable furniture throwing that, despite her magnanimous acceptance of the uninvited residents, suffered a somewhat sleepless night as a result of the incident.

And who can blame her?

Famous York pub to close for three weeks (but the ghosts are as busy as ever)
